The stages for application through approval of new high-power transmission lines are held to strict guidelines, especially those for allowing community involvement, and we will post all relevant deadlines and meeting details here.

Commissioners Court - October 14, 2025 - 9:00am

Burnet Courthouse - 220 S Pierce, Burnet, TX 78611

Pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.007, the Commissioners Court allows any person to make comment on any item appearing on the agenda (can be found here), however in the section of Public Comment any person may make comment on items not posted on the agenda. Any comments made will not be deliberated on by the Commissioners Court during the Public Comments agenda item. Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes per person.

G6 Meeting - October 19, 2025 - 4:00pm

This meeting is for the G6 line only. The goal of the meeting is to come together to meet new members, discuss any updates, and plan a presence and strategy for the upcoming PUC workshop.

PUC Workshop - October 21, 2025 - 9:00am

Burnet Community Center - 401 E Jackson St, Burnet, TX 78611

This is a Public Utility Commission (PUC) Workshop concerning the 765kV transmission lines. A representative from the PUC is expected to offer a presentation and answer questions from the public. Plans are for it to stream live on the Burnet County Government YouTube channel.

This meeting is for the G6 line only. The goal of this meeting is to convene as a group, answer any questions, and devise a strategy for our line.

Protest - October 11, 2025 - 9:00a-11:00a

City of Burnet - Corner of Hwy 281 & 29

This will be a peaceful protest to bring awareness to the citizens of Burnet and the surrounding areas. Many residents are still not aware of the project that has the potential to run through their land, and the hope is to use our collective voices as a means to bring awareness and fight this project that will destroy much of the beautiful Hill Country.
